Is it possible to configure a system with NAND FLASH and and SD card, or NOR FLASH and an SD card? I read a piece of literature that says the shared pinmux makes it necessary to choose only one, and not one the combinations in my question. Please confirm. Thanks

Depends on the processor. My experience is with the OMAP-L137 which is quite limited in mux combinations, eg. NAND and SD Card cannot be used simultaneously. OMAP-L138 has more pins and more combinations. Not familiar with other processors. You might want try using TI's "Pin Multiplexing Utility" for your processor.

Thanks Norman, I'll look in TI's Pin Multiplexing Utility. I'm using the am1808, so I'm not yet sure of the it works or not. --- Dan

Thanks again Norman. What I'm finding from the pin mux utility is that SD0 conflicts with the NOR FLASH, but SD1 does not. So I'm going to implement SD1 with NOR FLASH for booting.
