a question about CPPI(2)

Hi everyone

when I look into the Host packet Descriptor layout, there are two buffer 0 Point.one is buffer 0 point, the other is original buffer 0 point.

what's the difference between them?

when Rx port received the data,Rx port write the data to original buffer 0,then the data in original buffer 0 will move to buffer 0,and which is linked to descriptor,am I right?

  • Hi,

I am taking a look at this question and will get to you with a response soon.

  • For this question, I believe that you will probably find section 3.1 in the Keystone1 Multicore Navigator User Guide (SPRUGR9D) useful. Specifically, table 3-5 covers the "Buffer 0 Pointer" field and table 3-8 covers the "Original Buffer 0 Pointer" field. Please let me know if you have any specific questions about the usage of these fields.

If you have not already done so, you may also find the CPPI and QMSS examples in the MCSDK helpful. The example projects can be imported into CCS from the following directory <PDK_INSTALL_DIR>\packages\ti\drv\exampleProjects

    e.g. C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\pdk_C6678_1_0_0_20\packages\ti\drv\exampleProjects
