Battery Level Indication Issue In Android !!!

We have not verified battery driver integration with TI Android DevKit.

Can you check whether the hw.nobattery is set to false in init.rc ?

I'm using Gingerbread 2.3.4 version,

Yes i did changes in the init.rc file as hw.nobattery as false only,

The linux driver values are updating, and also shows the current value in the capacity directory, the level in andoird battery indication,

but when i again update the capacity directory, that time dynamically it's not changing the battery level,

when i do reboot, that will take effect?

So what I understood is

• Every reboot Android battery level is updated
• You keep on checking capacity sysfs -> value is getting updated -> Android battery level is not updated

Clearly, it seems that Android does not receive a uevent from kernel for the update.

Can you debug around mUEventObserver inside frameworks/base/services/java/com/android/server/BatteryService.java

• See if you are getting uevents with subsystem power_supply

Can you also share your battery driver source code?

Hi Santosh,

I think your battery driver does not do something like:

if( bat_status_old != bat_status.status )
    power_supply_changed(chg_device->psy);
bat_status_old = bat_status.status

on the status and capacity update functions.

The function

power_supply_changed

would send the uevent to user layer
