    Sorry for the late reply, this was posted some time before I joined the forum and just came to my attention.

    Yes, you can do that. Foe unconnected pins please take note of section 4.4 of the DM814X datasheet "Handling Unused Pins", and also section 8.13.4.1 "DDR2 Routing Specifications", especially the paragraph on page 289 for unused DDR2 interface pins.
