RTDX for CCS

Why is RDTX no longer supported in CCS v5?  I'm using a C6713 DSK with CCS 3.1. Some of my applications send data to the PC which calls MATLAB's nice plotting functions to display eye diagrams and power spectra on the PC.  CCS 5.1 seems to be a step down from CCS 3!  It takes forever to load, has tiny icons, hogs PC memory, and has lots of bugs.  Supposedly Eclipse is a flexible platform we can add applications to.  Isn't there any easy way the add the RTDX function of CCS 3.1 to Eclipse? I would have stayed with CCS 3.1 except it doesnt run under Windows 7 and or local computer guys insist on upgrading (?) to Windows 7.

Sincerely,

  • Steven,

RTDX has been phased out and is actually no longer even being supported by TI any longer.

CCS 5.2 has now been released, so if you are using CCS 5, you should be using that latest version.  You should definitely report issues that you have with that product on the CCS forum.
