6457 CSL documentation

I have downloaded the 6457 CSL and extracted the Doxygen documentation. in the srio module doocumentation, It refers to the TMS320TCI648x, not the 6457 do I have the right CSL?

Thank you

  • Robert,

The CSL folder that you extracted and Release Notes have C6457 stated clearly, so I am sure you have the right CSL.

I cannot tell if you have the right docs because I do not know how to extract the Doxygen documentation. How did you do that?

There are common modules between many different devices in the C6000 family, and we are not always strict about correcting the device names in documentation. Sometimes, even in the CSL. When I look at what you are asking about, I will make a comment there, but I am 99% sure it is all correct.

  • dOxygen documentation is extracted by running doxygen on the Doxyfile in the csl_c6457/doc directory. It took a while to figure out that the csl had to be extracted to c:\ in order for the extraction to work.

  • Uh, how do you run doxygen on the Doxyfile? Or where do you get doxygen? I do not have it on my PC, so I guess it is not a WinXP thing. Is it a Linux utility?

  • Robert,

I finally got up-to-speed with you on doxygen and posted my remedial sequence here.

And now I can see the reference to the TCI648x family in the SRIO page.

Yes, this documentation also applies to your C6457. The same logic module was used in several of the C645x/C647x/TCI648x devices, and the documentation was first written for the TCI648x ones. We left ourselves open for this confusion by not making specific device updates for each device's CSL, or by not generalizing those comments in the CSL.
