USB0 host Mode

Hi,

in hardware connection, i let my USB0_ID pin floating, how i switch to software option so that i can bypass the USB0_ID pin ?

From AM335x TRM, chapter 16.3.3, it said the USBnMode bit7=IDDIG_MUX must set to 1 to bypass USB0_ID pin. But in Register USB0MODE, bit 7 is reserved.

TRM needs update. You should set Mode.D7 = 1 to select IDDIG_MUX for software configuration of id pin and then mode.D8 = '0' for ID to be grounded, OR Mode.D8 = '1' for ID to be open.

Hi Ajay,

i'm using ti-sdk-am335x-evm-05.03.00.00, which c file i should modify to configure the IDDIG_MUX bit and IDDIG bit ?

u need to change in drivers/usb/musb/ti81xx.c, search for xxx_xxx_set_mode()...

Hello,

I'm trying out USB host on USB0 OTG port. After setting the mode as described above in ti81xx_musb_set_mode function,

I am getting the following error while I'm trying to plugin a usb pendrive. Is it a problem in the OTG stack?

[   13.113037] usb 2-1: new high-speed USB device number 2 using musb-hdrc
[   13.285278] usb 2-1: device v8564 p1000 is not supported
[   13.290863] hub 2-0:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 1

I don't think it is a problem in the OTG stack. Most likely you have 'CONFIG_USB_OTG_WHITELIST=y' in your .config. For more information, please check drivers/usb/core/Kconfig.

Disabling whitelist solved my issue.
