Hi

We are in the process of designing a custom board with TMS320C6678 processor.

I need to use a simple 24 bit ADC/DAC with TMS.

Which interface in TMS320C6678 I need to use to connect the ADC/DAC ?

Please suggest

Traditionally, TI DSPs have used the McBSP interface to connect to ADC/DAC interfaces. The C6678 has a TSIP interface which is a simplified version of the McBSP. You may need some external logic but that interface should be your best bet for connecting to an ADC/DAC.

We use the EMIF16 and a CPLD. Most programmable logic vendors have app notes for interfacing to TI DSP:

Hi Mahendra,

Your ADC/DAC doesn't have SPI or I2C interfaces? The 6678 has modules for that.

Can you please elobrate a bit about how to use TSIP interface for ADC/DAC ?

Can you suggest some 24 bit ADC/DAC Chip from TI which I can use with 6678 TSIP ?
