TCP3D, 3GPP and number of MAP decoders

In the TCP3D User Guide, in several places it says the number of MAP decoders is 1 for 3GPP (p. 41, 53, 103). But on p.43 it implies there are 2 MAP decoders for 3GPP because you calculate 2 sets of initial beta states, one for the first MAP decoder and one for the second MAP decoder.

Hi Donald,

There's some confusion here. 3GPP (WCDMA, HSUPA, HSUPA+ and TD-SCDMA until Release 7) supports both 1 MAP decoder or 2 MAP decoder options depending on whether it's single buffer mode, double buffer mode or split mode.

I plan to use it in single-buffer mode. In that case, would the number of MAP decoders be 1 or 2?
