C6678 is not detected

Hello ,

Im trying to Communicate between FPGA and DSP throw a PCIExpress Switch , so when we start the Switch , the FPGA is detected as an end point , but the C6678 is not .

is there any configuration to be done via the switch of the DSP in order to be detected in the topology ?

Could you elaborate more of your system setup please?

Do you connect the DSP/FPGA/Switch to a host/RC in your setup and want to detect both DSP and FPGA as end points please?

Is the DSP configured as PCIe end point and in PCIe boot mode for the enumeration from RC?

Could the DSP be detected if connect to the RC directly without Switch please?

Hello steven ,

Yes , the switch is connected to the Host/RC (PC) , the two peripherals are as EPs , the DSP is not detected when connected directly to he RC.

but , i didnt understand PCIe boot mode for the enumeration from RC , can you developp this point more ?

Younes,

The EVM needs to be setup as PCIe boot mode for the PCIe host to enumeration the DSP.

You may also need to update the IBL in the EVM. There are some documents in the MCSDK package as "C:\ti\mcsdk_xxxx\tools\boot_loader\examples\pcie\docs" talks about the PCIe boot and host enumeration. Please download the latest version of MCSDK with the most updated IBL.

There are some threads talks about the PCIe enumeration in the E2E forum as well that you may find helpful.
