C5535 SPI Slave with DMA

I am trying to find a C5xxx DSP with at least 320KB similar to the C5535 but with 2 SPI ports, one Master and 1 slave and I need the slave to be DMA enabled..I believe the SPI slave port is not DMA enabled on the C5535 currently..Any suggestions? I see a couple newer devices coming do any of these enable DMA on the SPI slave port?

Hi Charles,

You are correct that C5535 SPI cannot be a slave and cannot be accessed by DMA.

There is a new C5xxx device coming with SPI slave mode and DMA support with 320KB memory, too.

Mark, a follow up question, can you verify that you can have 1 Master SPI and 1 Slave SPI active at the same time as well?

Hi Charles,

Yes the C5517 and C5537 are the upcoming C55xx DSPs with McSPI (supports slave mode, DMA access, 2 chip selects) in addition to SPI (master only, no DMA, 4 chip selects). Both can be used simultaneously. Available this October.
