How can I change video output port and resolution?

Check the VPSS user guide for information on changing outputs and resolutions.

I believe it should be in the docs directory of your software download, but a version is available here...

I found  Video display driver part described that

Features Not Supports

1. EVM SVIDEO output is not supported
2. RF output is not supported
3. EVM VGA output is not supported

 Does it means that V4L2 driver can not support VGA output on DM8168EVM board?

If Yes, should I use fbdev display instead of v4l2 display driver to use RGB output port?

Hi,

I am not getting you answer correctly. VGA output doesnt support means you can output data through VGA port. V4L2 and FBDEV both wont be able to support. But I think this limitation is solved in latest PSP release. I will have to try though and let you know. You can try this yourself also.

I think this may be talking about the fact that early versions of the EVM did not have correct H & V sync connections to the VGA connector.

Earlier software was also not having support primarily because of no H and V sync connections. Which PSP version are you using.

Currently, I'm using EZSDK 5.03.1.15 version which has PSP 4.00.01.13 patch 2 version.

Before tyring changing output port from HDMI to VGA(RGB output), I searched the web site.

If I update to the latest version of PSP, it is possible to change video output port from HDMI to RGB using V4L2 application?

Hi,

PSP13 patch2 and EZSDK5.03 is too old. VGA should work on EZSDK5.05.Even if you face any problems we will be able to help you with that.

OK. The version that I used is too old to display video through VGA output port.

But I can't find EZSDK 5.05 version. I know the latest version of EZSDK for DM8168 EVM is 5.04. Where can I find that?

My bad, it should be 5.04 which is having PSP04.04.00.01.  This should work for you.
