are there any known issues with 6747 fast math library?
Sudheer,
Yes, there were some resource conflict issues issues reported on e2e forums on the C674x FastMath library when used with BIOS. There is an updated release for fastMath library called MATHLIB available on ti.com that has fixed these issues. I would recommend upgrading to the new library which you can find here:
http://www.ti.com/tool/mathlib
Let us know if you have any issues while using this.
Regards,
Rahul
Thanks Rahul.
We have DSP(c6747) lockout issues after running for 7-9 of days in field.
We also use "dsplib674x.lib" for FFT and iFFT.
Please also confirm if we need to upgrade this library.
Could you please elaborate what kind of issues are reported using the current libraries?
Thanks,
Sudheer
Hi Rahul,
we are used following libraries in our system. Please review the version and provide me the link to latest releases.
c67xmathlib_2_01_00_00
c674x-dsplib_1_03_00_01
edma3_lld_01_11_02_05
pspdrivers_01_30_01
Please let me know, if there any issues been reported to DSP lockout because of using these libraries.
One more issue, encountering occasional XY channel swapping in our system.
Thanks,
Sudheer
Sudheer,
The resource conflict issues reported on the fastmath library can be found on the following email thread:
http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/omap_applications_processors/f/42/t/130265.aspx
There is no known issue with with the FFT and iFFT functions in C674x DSPLIB, but there is an update available to this library. There is no new update available on BIOS PSP on BIOS 5.x.
Here are the links to software on which updates are available from the version you are using :
FastMath/Mathlib: http://www.ti.com/tool/mathlib
C674x DSPLIB: http://www.ti.com/tool/sprc265 (make sure you download the C674x version)
EDMA_LLD: http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_tii/psp/edma3_lld/index.html (Check release notes for update)
The issue reported on fastMath sounds pretty similar to what you are reporting and so that would be the first thing I would check.
I am not sure I understand the XY channel swapping issue. Can you elaborate more on this.
Regards,
Rahul
