power line communication kit - CCS error

 Hi,

I have recently purchased this kit and it works with Zero Configuration utility. I tried to install CCS from the flash drive supplied with this kit and there were some problems with the installation (eclipse) so I downloaded the latest version of Code composer studio hoping that it will sort out all these issues. The problem of Eclipse was solved but then it started giving me errors related to DSP/BIOS versions and menu options were also different (no Tools Menu). After reading a previous post on this forum that related to the same problem of Eclipse I decided to uninstall this latest version 5.xxxxx and reinstall CCS 4.xxxxxx downloaded from Ti website. Now I can run CCS without any errors but when I try to import any project, I am getting this error: "Managed Make Project File Error" (Screenshot attached).

I am following instructions on page 61 of TI_G3_UG.pdf.

Please help me to sort out this problem.

  • To build the G3 example, you will need to use CCS 4.2.5 and install CGT tool version 6.1.0A11101. Once installing the latest G3 package from www.ti.com/plc, the CGT tool can be found at C:\Texas Instruments\G3DevelopmentPackageV5210\ccs_setup\cgtools.

For the error, please switch to a new workspace with a new name and then import the project again.

    Regards, carlo.
