Flash Tool Support for Windows 7

Dear Team,

We have a customer, who is trying to install Flash tool (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Flash_v1.6_User_Guide) on a Windows 7 machine but are facing issues. As per the documentation, there is no mention of Windows 7 support, so just wanted to check if its available.

Thanks & Regards,

Amit

  • I was able to successfully install the program on Win7 x64 by using the Windows Compatibility Tool.

    • Right-click the installer
    • Select "Troubleshoot Compatibility"
    • Select "Try Recommended Settings"
    • Select "Save these settings for this program".

Win7 will now provide a WinXP SP2 environment for the program whenever it is run.

  • Hi

I was able to install Flash tool on Win7 but failed installing drivers. After installing the Flash tool. I tried erasing the nand flash but when you reset the board it will search for the OMAP Drivers. Flash tool has got drivers, that i have used with win xp. But when i point same drivers in case of windows 7 it is not accepting those drivers. It seems there is a problem in driver compatibility... Please help here.

    regards
