Change IP address in NFS

Hello, Is it legal to change ip address & mac address when working with NFS, after linux finished startup ? It seems that in such case, NFS can get stuck, right? Thank you, Ran

    My guess is that changing the address would cause a momentary interruption in networking, which might upset the NFS mount and possibly hang the system. It seems like a reasonably simple thing to try out, though. You could set up a large filecopy that runs while you do it, which would be a bit of a stress test.
