Delay in saLoopBackFbdev demo

Hi,

I am using saLoopBackFbdev to capture and display RGB241080p60 data from EVM8168 card.

We see that there is a delay 0-60 ms in the display output.

What can be possible causes of these delay ?

    Hi,

    How are you measuring the delay. You can reduce the delay by priming only 2 buffers instead of 3 before streamon. But we have latency of 2 frames which cant be removed as of now.

    Hi ,

    I am measuring by running dual output from my PC. One output connected to Netra and from Netra to display and directly to another display.

    I am running time application and taking shots of 2 displays together simultaneously. So there I see difference in time.

    I tried to use 1 buffer for as MAX_BUFFERS in demo app instead of 3.

    You mention latency of 2 frames , Can you please elaborate where and on from which component it coming from ?
