DM8148: accelerated Silverlight decoding?

Does WEC7 for the DM8148 support Silverlight decoding of material encoded by the Microsoft Expression Encoder? If yes, is HW acceleration used for decoding?

Dear Robert,

If I correctly understood, you want to encode a video with MSFT Expression Encoder using the Silverlight encoding option, and then playback on the DM8148.

We never experienced such encoding on that platform, and I'm not sure that the WEC 7 silverlight for Windows Embedded version support such feature. Which type of "Silverlight Encoding" are you willing to use ?

Hi,

It's not about encoding, only decoding. The DM8148 should be able to decode the stuff. And ideally HW acceleration is used for that (NEON, HDVICP). Is this supported?

Hi Robert

sorry for the miss typing, I was talking about decoding on the DM8148 platform. So far I don't think the smooth streaming is supported by Silverlight for Windows Embedded Compact 7.
