Is DDK 1.20 the best to use with CCSv4 and DSPBIOS 5.41.10.36? Do I need to recompile it?
Will DDK 1.11 also work?
Why was MMC and USB support dropped from DDK1.2 for the 5509?
Thanks.

Cam,
Unfortunately, the DDK product has been obsoleted by TI and you will find any support for it to be pretty much non-existent. These releases were made well prior to the more recent versions of DSP/BIOS, so I can't say what steps you will need to do in order to make it build correctly. I don't know remember why support for certain peripherals was dropped.

Thanks Dave. I don't see much in the way of a replacement for the peripheral drivers that were in the DDK. I presume this means that users need to write these drivers now. (please confirm). It seems the uart driver from the DDK is working for the 5509A at least in conjunction with the GIO interface in DSPBIOS 5.41.10.36. and I guess the other drivers would act as a good template to start with. Are any other better libraries being developed by TI? Is there a public forum somewhere to share drivers?
Cam
Sorry Cam, I don't have anything further for you. I'll forward this thread to a C5000 software manager in case he wants to comment further (but he is out this week).
Best Regards,
Dave
Hi, I don't have such examples for 5509, but 5515/5535 devices have the CSL which contains some examples which you may find useful. I don't have any plans to port these to 5509, but they may serve as a good starting point for you: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/C5000_Software#C5000_Chip_Support_Library
