Hi,

I wanted to achieve dual screen functionality. i.e., To play a video over HDMI and browse web in my phone which is displayed on LCD.

Please help me out. I am using the following Environment.

Reference hardware platforms: Ti OMAP 4460 BLAZE MDP

Software Release: 4AI.1.4-P1 OMAP4 Icecream Sandwich Release Notes

Hello,

Currently the ICS releases from TI do not suport dual screen functionality. The OMAP4 is capabile of driving that though at hardware level, you will jsut need to provide an implementation.

Hi Sivakumar,

I completely agree with Magdalena's inputs above. To add on top of it, you have to make necessary changes to the software by making use of another frame buffer instance to render on to HDMI TV.

Another alternate way is to use docking mode and make necessary modifications to Hardware Composer layer with the restriction to always redirect video layers to HDMI TV and all other apps to LCD.

Hi,

here is a demo how ICS performs on Pandaboard when modified to run on both displays.

It requeres a heavy change of the Android framework and drivers.
