Can BT.656 10bit interface to DM8168 8bit VIP Port?

Hi, expoerts:

DM8168 is powerful in video process, but it's weak in video input. It only supports up to four 8-bit ports, I saw some chips only support BT656 10bit, can it interface to 8-bit VIP with just ignoring the two LSB bits?
