Hi,
I see the video tutorial of C66. It says that C6655 has 1 MB SRAM shared memory (MSM). C6655 is a single core DSP. What is the use for the MSM? Just curious.
Thanks.

The C6655 is a cutdown version of the C6657, which has two CorePacs. The MSMC memory is still there, but since there's only one core to access it, it's kind of a misnomer. The Keystone Architecture is an Architecture for multicore devices, but there was enough interest in a single core variant and thus that's how C6655 was created. Please note that the L2 could not be expanded as 1MB is the limit of the C66x CorePac's L2 size, so to support the extra memory that's often needed the MSMC memory was left in place.
Best Regards,
Chad
