Is the SGX530 the best graphics accelerator I can use for AM3894?

I Have a customer looking into the AM3894 and they are wondering why TI chose to put the SGX530, a 5 year old accelerator, when there are much better ones out there. Are there any plans to upgrade on future processors?

Hi Amy,

Considering cost, performance, power, software; the SGX530 is an excellent solution for many use cases.

TI’s OMAP4 has the SGX540.
