Just installed updates on my CCS5.1 setup and as a result I can no longer debug using my SD XDS560v2 Traveler emulator...I get:

Can't generate board data file D:\DOCUME~1\kdekome\LOCALS~1\APPLIC~1\.TI\213602635\0\0\BrdDat\ccBoard0.dat An invalid processor ID has been found.

Whats the fix for this?

What device are you trying to connect to? It sounds like the device xml or emulation file may have been corrupted. I'd suggest the following:

Step 1

In CCSv5.1, Go to Window -> Preferences -> Install/Update -> Available Software Sites appropriately.:

(1) Deselect all sites listed there.

(2) Add a new update site with http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_ccstudio/CCSv5.1/Updates/Emulation/win32/full as its URL. This will pull in EmuPack 5.0.747.0 or later.

(3) Install this emulator update.

Step 2

Install the latest Keystone EMUPack from:

http://software-dl.ti.com/sdoemb/sdoemb_public_sw/bios_mcsdk/latest/index_FDS.html Latest one is ti_emupack_keystone1_setup_1.0.4.0.exe

After that, you should have no issues finding the keystone devices and creating a CCS target configuration and connecting.

Thanks for replying and I'll do this if problem recurs, but I lucked into a solution by reselecting the "Board or Device" for my emulator setup from OMAPL138 to EVMOMAPL138 (board is Logic PD TMDSEXPL138)...

Kent,

Glad you have it fixed. The Keystone emupack won't help here anyway. OMAP is a different device and different forum (not multicore), that is why I asked.
