Executing code from external SDRAM with the C5515

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C5515

Hi Ti and others,

I have been looking at the board's discussions on running code from SDRAM using various TI DSP platforms.

There is one discussion which in particular uses the TIDSP C6000 platform with a secondary bootloader to run a simple blinky program.  The project for this particular one can be downloaded. However, the DSPs are not compatible.

I have looked for a similar example that uses the C5515 or C5505 version but have not seen any example projects.

Also, I have noticed that there is a report, number SPRA773, which speaks about a secondary bootloader. However, I'm not so sure on its example's  assembly code which the author provides and its compatibility with the C5515.

Would someone send me an example project file which uses the TMS320C5515 and which allows the use of the hex55 to place the bootimage in external Nand Flash. I know that once power is  cycled the bootloader will memove the image into the C5515 to execute. What should be copied is the code that tells the device to move code from the NAND into the SDRAM and next allows code execution to begin from the external SDRAM.

Thanks for your consideration.

Conrad
