Does AM335x have VFP coprocessor in?

Hi,

With AM335x EVM, we got only 1/5 (single-precision FP) and 1/10 (double-precision FP) preformance when compare to integer, and build the application with '--float_support=VFPv3' will halt the application at where floating-point computation starts, to me, looks like there's no VFP in AM335x, but my FAE said the VFP should be there (somewhat conflicting with the poor preliminary datasheet).

So, could anybody here can help to confirm: Does AM335x have the hardware VFP coprocessor?

And what about AM35x, and AM387x? Do they have VFP?

yes, there is NEON and VFP unit on Cortex-A8 core of AM335x. If your program traps then you do not have the block enabled.

Yes, that was the case. After enabling the NEON/VFP, the performance result looks more reasonable. Thanks for the help.
