DSP Link / DSP BIOS in OMApL138

Hi

I know DSP BIOS/ Bridge is an API layer which is required to communicate with DSP core from ARM in OMAP Processor,  I have an doubt that whether DSP link  instead of DSP BIOS is required in OMAP  L138 processor for the  communication between DSP core and ARM or Both are required to communicate with DSP?
