DM8127 and DM8148 ISS

Dear support,

we have IPNC 3.0 RDK and DM8148 EVM. Posts made clear that DM8148 shall be a superset of DM8127.

BUT current documentation with a functional block diagram on DM8127 (SPRS712-02/2011 Figure 1-1 page5) shows ISS includes CSI2 Serial Input, IPIPE and H3A.

These  Components MISSING on DM8148 documentation (SPRS647C-03/2011 revised 01/2012 Figure 1-1 page 5 ). These components enable hardware debayer (...) on the sensor input port which are features we require.

Please confirm.

    I'm running IPNC 3.0 (actually 2.0, but I'll move to 3.0 when I have time) running on the Mistral 8148 EVM.

    As I understand it, the 8148 is generally a super-set of the the 8127 with a few exceptions. The major change that I discovered is that the 8127 had a hardware face detection system but is missing the 3D Graphics Processor.

    The ISS documentation is missing from the 8148 manuals for reasons unexplained. You'll have to sign yet another NDA via your FAE to get a copy of the ISS documentation.

    The bottom line is that the 8148 has the ISS/debayer hardware you're looking for.
