TSIP and McBSP Query

Hi,

Is it possible to use TSIP as McBSP or vice versa? Actually I want to make one board, which should use TSIP lines or McBSP lines. So I want to know that is it possible that TSIP and McBSP can make compatible with each other by software?

Thanks & Regards,

Asmit

  • TSIP provides a subset of the capabilities of the McBSP interface.  For example the clocks and frame syncs of the TSIP are input only while the McBSP can be programmed to drive the clock and frame sync. They are not interchangeable but are highly compatible depending on the setup of the McBSP.
