TXB0108 level translator for Micro SD card interface to TMS320C5515

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXB0108, TMS320C5515

Hi,

I am using TXB0108 voltage level translator in between TMS320C5515 and Micro SD card connector. I am using this level translator because my DSP (TMS320C5515) is working at an IO volatge of 1.8V and Micro SD card required an operating voltage of 3.3V.

I am seeing an issue that micro SD card is not responding of any of the command.

Please let me is the level translator which i have used is perfect or not.

One of your TI FAE suggested to remove the TXB0108 and connect 3.3V to Micro SD card VCC pin and pull the IO lines of MIcro SD card to 1.8V and connect to the DSP MMC controller lines directly. Is this an good option. What I feel is their may be volatge mismatch between Micro SD card and DSP and DSP may get spoiled.

Please suggest how to solve this issue.
