Running program on a TMS320C6713 DSK without having to plug it in the computer

Hi,

I'm new to the TMS320C6713 DSK, and to programming DSP in general, and I need to know how to run my program without plugging the DSK in a computer. If anyone can show me how to do it, or give me the documentation required to do so, it would be greatly appreciated. I use CCS v5.2(the lasted version as the day I'm writing this message) to program the DSK.

  • Vincent,

Welcome to the TI E2E forum. I hope you will find many good answers here and in the TI.com documents and in the TI Wiki Pages. Be sure to search those for helpful information and to browse for the questions others may have asked on similar topics.

The C6713 DSK has a Flash memory on the board. You can program that and boot from it. The Flashburn utility was used with CCS 3.3, but I do not know if it has been updated for CCSv5. You may want to contact the board manufacturer (Spectrum Digital?) to see if they have an updated Flash programming tool.
