Hi,
I was hoping you guys could help making something clear to with regards to real-time analysis with SYS/BIOS. We are in the process of porting one of our applications from DSP/BIOS 5 to SYS/BIOS 6 on the C6748 DSP. My configuration is as follows:
- Logic PD Zoom Development Kit with the C6748 DSP
- CCS 5.1
- SYS/BIOS 6.33.4.39
- XDCtools 3.23.3.53
- System Analyzer 1.1.0.04
- Spectrum Digital XDS560v2 STM USB emulator
In DSP/BIOS 5 I was able to receive logs in real-time by means of RTDX, but from my understanding this is no longer used in SYS/BIOS, which now instead uses System Analyzer. From what I've read from TI, the two transport methods for providing System Analyzer with logs in real-time are JTAG run-mode and Ethernet. However, for the JTAG run-mode, only the C64X+ and C66 family of DSPs are supported.
My questions are thus:
1) If I'm using the C6748 DSP, is my only option for real-time logs in SYS/BIOS by means of Ethernet?
2) If the answer to 1) is yes, how on earth am I suppose to get logs in real-time from a hardware platform that does not have an Ethernet port?
Your help/advice would be greatly appreciated!
Regards
Reinier
