Hello everyone,
I am intending to bootload a 5502 dsp from an ARM processor which has the bootloader code embedded into memory.
The interface chosen is the Standard serial boot from McBSP0, therefore the data type is 16bit lenght which an acknowledge at every word from the DSP.
The serial interface is well configured on the ARM side but I have troubles configuring the HEX55 utility for it.
The datasheet says that data must 16bit length in this bootmode, but the HEX55 utility is not able to produce a .bin file with the parameter:
--binary -b Select binary (Must have memory width of 8 bits.)
AND
--serial16 Specify an 16-bit serial interface boot table (-memwidth 16 and-romwidth 16)
It seems that the only way to produce a 16bit serial interface file is .hex (which has headers bytes). Obviously I can't store a hex file into the flash of the ARM.
I need raw data (bin) to achieve it.
Please let me know if you have any suggestion on my situation.
Regards
Silvere
