De-interlacer component in the OMX-VFCC capture Encode example in omx-hdvpss

Hi,

We are using the OMX-VFCC capture encode example of the Netra DM816x ezsdk .The capture Encode application that was present was meant for capture of component source. We suitably modified it for capture from composite source using the daughter card attached. As composite source always gives data in interlaced fashion, we were able to get only one field. From our experiments on the capture encode example we believe that the deinterlacer component expects both the fields of a frame in the same buffer. However we are always getting only one field in the buffer that comes out of capture. because of this on deinterlacing we get only even lines as valid data but the odd lines are of junk data. hence can you please tell us where we need to make the modifications such that we get both the even and odd fields of a frame in the same buffer from the capture.

Regards,

Karthik

  • Karthik,

De-interlacer takes field by field input, however in ezsdk 5411 there are some issues because of which capture is not functional in field mode, so you may not be able to get it working properly. Next release It would be avilable.
