RE: Not able to select DSP/BIOS when creating new project

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAPL138

Thanks a lot  Lisa. Yes I am specifically using older BIOS. The reason is that , we are planning to use DSPLink on OMAPL138 platform. As per my knowledge SYS/BIOS supports SysLink ( and not DSPLink)  we are planning to use DSP/BIOS. The reason behind not using SysLink is as I gone through some posts that SysLink is useful when there are more than one DSP processors, but in our case there is only one DSP processor so going for DSPLink. Do you have any advice for us on this?  I will highly appreciate your thought on this.

Thanks once again for such quick reply.

  • Hi Yogesh,

I have put this to the BIOS forum for you as they will be better able to guide you.  All the best .

    Best REgards,
    Lisa

  • Yogesh,

We strongly recommend all new development to use SYS/BIOS and SysLink. Both products are in production with full support. The older DSP/BIOS and DSPLink products are no longer in production and with very limited support.

SysLink supports OMAPL138 and is appropriate for single slave as well as multi-slave devices.
