OpenMAX and Codec Engine

1) Can I run an OpenMAX application that decodes video and another application that uses Codec Engine to process data on the DSP?

2) Can I run an OpenMAX application that decodes video and _in the same application_ use Codec Engine to process data on the DSP? If so, is it easy to share buffers of data between the DSP codec and the OpenMAX application?
