We are upgrading our design from a OMAP3505 to a AM3703. We need to keep the S/W common between the 2 processor. In the MIDR register, is the Variant Field adequite to distingish between the 2 processors? The variant field in the OMAP 3503 is a 0x1 and in the AM3703 is a 0x3. Is there a definition for the variant field for these processors? Is ther more thatn one revision of each of these processors in the field? The revision field in the OMAP 3503 is a 0x3 and in the AM3703 is a 0x2.
