The ActiveX Problem on DM8127 IPNC RDK 3.0.0

Hello,

I used Internet Explore(WIN7 32bit  IE 9) to vist the webpage of DM8127 IPNC (by Appro). But the IE prohibits

the IPNCWebDlls.CAB, because the certificate/signature is missing.

I try to add the IPNC‘s IP to the trusted sites in Security Optin of IE,  but the problem is still existing.

Then I register the gffx.dll/godbatl.dll(from IPNCwebdlls.cab) by regsvr32.exe.  After register, I can find the ACtiveX control in Add-one/ActiveX list in IE(as figure below), but the problem is still existing.

       Who can help me?

        Thanks a lot.

  • Hello,

               More information about the problem.

I removed the 'version=-1,-1,-1,-1' at the end of the <object> tag  from loadActiveX.htm and gLogon.htm,   and I can see the login in UI.

But when I try logo in,  the error message "Form Object Property Not Fount | GBasic Error" is got.

        Oh,  Who can save me..........

  • Hi,

To install unsigned ActiveX control in IE, you have to enable "Download unsigned AciveX controls".
    IE: Internet Options->Security tab->Internet zone->Custom Level->Download unsigned AciveX controls=prompt.
After installing component, you can set it back to the default value if you wish: Download unsigned AciveX controls=disable.

I guess you will first need to delete all component entries from the Registry.

    Regards.

  • Hi Marko,

              Thanks for your help.

I try your advice on a clean OS PC, which is with WinXP/IE6.   But get the Security Warning as before. The screenshot below show I did.

I also try register the ActiveX manually. The logoin UI can display, but when try to logo in,get the "GBasic Error" dialog: Form Object Property Not Found.  The result  is same as my another PC which is on WIN7/IE9.

Have you visit the 8127IPNC on RDK3.0.0  successfully  by ActiveX control?

    Regards,

  • Hi Xue,

Yes i can run all ActiveX versions on Win7/IE9, haven't tried this one on XP.
The 3.0.0 IPNC ActiveX version even has a certificate, so you dont have to enable "Download unsigned AciveX controls".

Try to reset IE settings to default: (Internet Options-> Advanced tab->Reset button)
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie8-windows_other/explorer-security-warning/1f21839c-2d57-49c3-b8b8-206f087413c9

If it still doesn't work, you can try to delete all "Godb" entries in Registry.

ActiveX installation procedure is described in  "IPNC_RDK_InstallGuide_Version3.0.0.pdf" (3.3 Streaming Demo on Web Browser).

    Regards.

  • Hi Marko,

I use an clean win7/IE9 on virtual PC to try again, but the activeX control don't work yet.

I think the problem is not at the activeX control.  I  will do more check on other steps.

                     Thank you very much.

    Regards,

  • Hi Marko,

               The problem is resolved.

The firmware in the IPNC device is RDK 2.8, but the development CD with it is RDK 3.0.

We program the IPNC with RDK 3.0's  program,  all is OK.

Thank you for the help, it's very usefully for us.
