I have the AM3359 ICE development kit.

I've tried to follow along the user guide, the reference guide, and the release notes, but I am unable to get any code to download and run on this development kit.

Are there any CLEAR instructions or example project files that are known to work with this tool?

Even when I follow the instructions to build the example applications included with the SDK by importing the projects into CCS5, nothing builds. I get linked errors stating that the memory allocations are overlapped.

Any ready to run exampled files are appreciated.

Scott,

I assume you have installed the following

industrial sdk 1.0.0.4
CCS 5.2
SYS/BIOS 6.33.5.46
xdctools 3.23.3.53

Below given are the tasks ( In their order) that you need to do to debug a sample application on AM335x.

Install the required components
import project into CCS
Build the project
Connect the target with CCS
Execute GEL file to initialize the target
Download the program to target
Execute the program

For more details on importing and building projects, see section 12 "Building and Running Sample Application " in AM335x_SYSBIOS_Industrial_SDK_Getting_Started_Guide

I uninstalled all items, re-downloaded per the list, and imported the project. When I try to build i2c_led, I receive this message:

Buildfile generation error occurred..

This project was created using a version of XDCtools that is not currently installed: 3.23.0.26.eng. Please install the XDCtools of this version, or migrate the project to one of the supported versions.

Build stopped..

So can I download and install the suggested version or will that break other things?

So I removed and re-installed CCS5 and then I was able to build.

My next question: How do I execute a GEL file?
