How to use McBSP of C6748 as multi channel audio interface

McBSP supports Inter-IC Sound (I2S) format.

For I2S format McASP uses TDM format of 2 slots per frame.
For multi channel format McASP uses TDM format of more than 3 slots per frame.

For multi channel format does McBSP support format such as TDM format of more than 3 slots per frame?
Is McBSP usable as a substitute for McASP?

Thank you for the reply.

I read the TRM (SPRUH79A) to confirm the details.

I found out that Frame width is different between McASP and McBSP.
When using McASP, the Frame width is Single bit or Single word bits.
When using McBSP, the Frame width is Single bit or less than Single word bits.
