AM335x Boot from NOR Flash ,reference bootloader code

In the TRM  "26.1.7.1 Overview " :

There are two groups of memory booting devices distinguished by the need of code shadowing. The
code shadowing means copying a code from a non-directly addressable device into a location (typically a
RAM area) from where the code can be executed. Devices which are directly addressable are called
eXecute In Place (XIP) devices.

 Is the rom code coping the SPL from NOR Flash just like the NAND flash or MMC,or directly execute in the NOR flash(0x08000000)?

Yan,

as the name says: XIP - eXecute In Place does not copy the NOR FLASH content. But XIP might be slow... so many times you may run a  2nd level boot loader from NOR and copy and run your app from RAM... or at least lock some parts in the cache so they run fast.

So,in the starterware ,I can not find the corresponding reference boot code,in other ways,Is that means if I use the XIP mode,I must write the boot code by myself ?

We are in design phase now. We would like to use NOR flash too. So, we have same question as Yan. Is TI going to give (or point to) a reference code we can directly use.
