Customer question;

On the DM8168 what are the input requirements for the following group of pins;

RSV53 through RSV56

RSV12 through RSV 15

Hi Tom,

Please check Table 3-32 in the datasheet. These groups of reserved pins must be tied to 1.8V supply.

I implemented a zero-ohm resistor on the 1.8V rail to RSV12-RSV15, and didn't implemented it on board by mistake (i.e RSV12-15 are not connected to anything)

after ~60 prototypes, the card functions properly.

what is the meaning of this pins, and on what applications their disconnection may be harmful?
