HDMI output from DM8127

Hi,

We are trying out the HDMI output from the camera on a Dell ST2220T monitor and noticed that the output constantly clickers for some time.  After a period of time, it stops displaying anything with a message that the input expected is 1920 by 1080 at 60 Hz.  Any idea how to fix this issue?  Since I am running the normal tri-stream demo application in full-feature, the display should default to 1920 by 1080 at 60 fps so this should not have been an issue.

thanks,

Chandar

  • Hi Chandar,

Could you please let us know the silicon being used and the version of PSP being used (Linux version).

    Thanks,
    Sujith
  • Hi Chandar,

Did not realize that you had mentioned 8127, Did you make any changes related to display?

    Thanks,
    Sujith
  • Hi Sujith, No, I did not make any changes related to display.

  • Hi Chandar,

OK, I will re-test the HDMI out to check if it works fine. In the meanwhile could you check on the following.
    1. There is an SD (TV out), could you please check if the video on this interface is OK. When HDMI is set to 1920X1080
    2. Check if the Monitor used can support 1920X1080 in DVI mode. If you have any other source that can output 1920X1080 on HDMI, please connect the same to the monitor and check if its OK. Make sure monitor says its detected 1920x1080 alternately you could configure an PC/Laptop screen resolution to 1920X1080 and connect the same to the monitor via HDMI (or use an HDMI converter cable) and check.

    Thanks,
    Sujith
  • Hi Sujith,

I tried the same on another TV and now it works fine.  I guess the issue was because of the first monitor.  Sorry for inconveniencing you on this.  Thanks for your suggestions anyway which helped in zeroing in on problem.

    regards,

    Chandar
