[C667x] Clarification on unused DDR pins

Hi folks,

A question came up regarding what to do with unused DDR pins. I found the majority of them are covered explicitly in the Keystone H/W Design Guide; however, even though I can infer what to do with them the document does not specifically call out the PTV15 and DDRRESET pins.

Personally even though it does not directly state it I would infer that PTV15 must still be connected, and I see no reason not to leave DDRRESET floating. In either case I would like to receive clarification just for that "warm fuzzy."

Thanks!

  • Since you're asking about the DDRRESET can I assume that you're not using any of the pins for the DDR3 interface?  If you're not using the interface at all you can leave DDRRESET floating.  Connecting the PTV15 pin is still preferred.

  • Bill,

Sorry, I did not phrase my question very well at all. Yes, I am asking about what to do with these pins assuming the DDR3 interface is not used at all. The HW Design Guide explicitly calls out what to do with most pins on unused peripherals, but there are a few exceptions where we can only infer the answer.
