Can I get some help?
There is an ominous note in the TRM that goes like this: "15.1.1.2 Unsupported Features .... eQEP quadrature input... only output signals are connected".
It seems like a very obvious misadvertisement to indicate (on the data sheet) "Up to Three 32-Bit Enhanced Quadrature Encoder Pulse (eQEP) Modules" if they can't be used for anything. Why would a chip want to generate quadrature output? These must be quadrature inputs and the programming model seems to suggest it but I am concerned about that "unsupported features" declaration. Furthermore I have not been able to successfully program this block to accumulate encoder pulses.
1. Has anyone been successful in using the quadrature decode blocks?
2. I cannot find StarterWare examples so if anyone can point me in a correct direction I would be grateful.
