What happened to FastRTS Library for C67x?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAP-L138, MATHLIB, SYSBIOS

A customer had struggled with FastRTS on the OMAP-L138 and updated to MATHLIB.  Good thing as it seemed to resolve many issues.

What ever happened to FASTRTS?

The below WIKI link (shipped in the FASTRTS README) appears to be dead.

http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/TMS320C67x_FastRTS_Library

However, the below is active although I can't seem to find the www.ti.com landing page for it.

Were there SysBIOS versioning issues with FASTMATH?

  • Dave,

For the benefit of the community,  I am posting the same response I sent you offline.

Yes, we can confirm that there was a naming change from FastMath to MathLib for this library in November 2011. The new library was built using C6000 CG Tool v7.2 and follows the new directory structure format that aligns with all other DSP libraries. There were a number of resource conflict issues reported with the earlier Fast Math library which have been resolved in the new library. The new library has been added in CQ so has a better bug reporting and tracking system.
