Is the TMS320VC5501/02 right for this application?

I am very new to electronics so I appreciate any help you can give!

I am trying to connect AD7490 (ADC) to F2M03GLA (Bluetooth). So far in my research, I believe the connection can happen between the CS, DIN, SCLK and DOUT pins of the AD7490 to the UART of the F2M03GLA. I believe I can do this using the McBSPs port and the UART port of the TMS320VC5501/02. First of all, is this application possible using these DSPs? Secondly, is either of these DSPs better than the other for this seemingly simple task? And lastly, are there less expensive options other than the TMS320VC5510 DSP Starter Kit for connecting the individual chips to the computer?
