AM335x Starter Kit (CCS5.2)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3359

I've just got myself an AM335x Starter Kit rev1.1A. (the one with DDR3 and a AM3359).

It comes with ICS and Linux on the SD Cards and both of them bootup fine with a nice simple GUI demo. What I looking for is how to connect this board to CCS5.2. I want to be able to read/write some of the registers on the ARM.

More specifically I want to run through the DDR3 PHY SW leveling described here: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/AM335x_DDR_PHY_register_configuration_for_DDR3_using_Software_Leveling

There are some files supplied (a .gel file and an .out file). What are these for? Can someone point me to a walkthrough or tutorial on how to connect this board to CCS so that I can communicate with the registers and run these tests.

Do I need to download the full SDK for this board?

I do not have much experience with CCS, but I have used it for msp430 and Stellaris in the past. Just never connected to Sitara family.

Thanks
