C6455 Speed Grade Identification

Hi,

Is there any way to identify the speed grade of the C6455 DSP, at runtime from the software through any device register reads?

    No, there is no way to do this. The silicon is the same for different speed grades. There are devices that have different revision letters to achieve higher speeds, and those will generally have an identifiable difference in a CPUID register, for example.

    In this case there is not a device revision between the speed grades; we test the devices and the higher-speed parts are sold with the higher-speed markings on the device.
