Hello,
I would like to connect to the expansion headers on the AM335X ICE EVM (J9 and J12) to access the GPIO pins.
Which connectors fit for a wire-to-board connection (part numbers)? Thank you.
Best regards,
Manuel

Hi Biser,
Thanks for your reply. This connector looks suitable for the J9 header but is too wide for J12 (due to the close proximity of the DSUB-9 connector). Do you know of an alternative that will work for the J12 connector?
Regards, Ben
Yes Ben, of course you are right. I didn't pay attention to this issue. Afraid nothing will fit in there. Personally speaking, what I'd do in this situation will be to take out J12 and solder it on the other side of the PCB, but this is a tricky job - have to be very carefull not to damage the board. With these 1.27mm headers what I do is make sure I have a replacement, and then pull them out pin by pin, clean the holes with braid and solder the new header. Hope this helps you.
But presumably TI had a particular connector solution in mind when they layed the board out in this way.
I thought a female-male extender could be used to raise the pins above the height of the DSUB9. This would then provide enough width for the above mentioned ribbon cable connector. However, I cannot find such a device.
What have other people done to access the J12 connector?
